Peristaltic Flow of a Magneto-Micropolar Fluid: Effect of Induced Magnetic Field
نویسنده
چکیده
We carry out the effect of the induced magnetic field on peristaltic transport of an incompressible conducting micropolar fluid in a symmetric channel. The flow analysis has been developed for low Reynolds number and long wavelength approximation. Exact solutions have been established for the axial velocity, microrotation component, stream function, magnetic-force function, axialinduced magnetic field, and current distribution across the channel. Expressions for the shear stresses are also obtained. The effects of pertinent parameters on the pressure rise per wavelength are investigated by means of numerical integrations, also we study the effect of these parameters on the axial pressure gradient, axial-induced magnetic field, as well as current distribution across the channel and the nonsymmetric shear stresses. The phenomena of trapping and magnetic-force lines are further discussed.

This paper describes the effects of induced magnetic field and partial slip on the peristaltic flow of a couple stress fluids in an asymmetric channel. The two dimensional equation of couple stress fluid are simplified by making the assumptions of long wave length and low Reynolds number. The exact solutions of reduced momentum equation and magnetic force function have been computed in wave...

We carry out the effect of the pulsatile flow on peristaltic motion of an incompressible conducting micropolar fluid through porous medium in a channel bounded by flexible walls.Problem formulation in a wave frame of reference is presented. An oscillatory time dependent flux is being imposed on the peristaltic flow. The non-linear equations governing the flow through porous medium under the eff...

By means of similarity solutions, deviation of fundamental equations on the assumption of small magnetic Reynolds number are solved numerically by using qu...
متن کاملImpact of Magnetic Field on Convective Flow of a Micropolar Fluid with two Parallel Heat Source
A numerical study is performed to analysis the buoyancy convection induced by the parallel heated baffles in an inclined square cavity. The two side walls of the cavity are maintained at a constant temperature. A uniformly thin heated plate is placed at the centre of the cavity. The horizontal top and bottom walls are adiabatic. Numerical solutions of governing equations are obtained using the ...

Computational and mathematical models provide an important compliment to experimental studies in the development of solar energy engineering in case of electro-conductive magnetic micropolar polymers.
